Ladies, look at the world around you. Do you see many godly role models of biblical womanhood? As I look around the community in which I live, and even in churches, I’m not seeing very many biblical women. They are out there, and I’m glad to know that some of them are in my own church, but overall, women like that seem few and far between.
“Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.” ~ Proverbs 31:30
O, how our homes, and churches, and communities, are in such desperate need for godly, biblical women!
Today, many women cannot discern the difference between being beautiful verses sexy, attractive verses alluring. No wonder, with the plague of feminism undermining the family, the power of female sexuality, men (even presidents) acting like dogs, and the constant barrage of sex appeal that makes most women I know feel inadequate.
I firmly believe that the biblical woman must be tender and compassionate, and always ready to accept whatever the Lord brings her way. She must be meek yet wise, cautious yet caring, frugal yet generous, fashionable yet very modest.
“In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.” ~ 1 Timothy 2:9 – 10
Biblical women must rise above todays typical gossip and pettiness, to provide a godly and biblical example of the vital role that God has called her to in the home, the church, and the community. She must keep her home with organization and diligence, be a humble and considerate wife, a loving mother, a good neighbor, and a constant promoter of biblical virtues.
With infirmities being the exception, I believe the Biblical Woman must also be SPIRITUALLY SOLID, MENTALLY SHARP, PHYSICALLY STRONG, and EMOTIONALLY STABLE. This is what God has designed us all to be.
“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” ~ Mark 12:30
It is time for Christian women to put away vanity and pride, and start speaking, thinking, and acting like biblical women. Stop looking around for biblical role models, and start being one. Pray like you mean it, and serve the Lord and your family like it really matters, because the truth is, nothing matters more than that.
Someone said, “Be the kind of woman who, when your feet hit the floor in the morning, the Devil says, ‘oh no, she’s up’!”.

Goodness gracious me. How could any woman tick all those boxes and does God really want us too? Of course He doesn’t. What we are are called to do is become more like Christ not more like a heap of Bible verses taken out of context. Daren if you are looking for the ‘perfect woman’ you will not find her among Christians because we are all sinners saved by Grace. Looking forward to reading your post on ‘A Call to Biblical Manhood’.
Verses versus versus..
I enjoyed this article. Thank you. Very encouraging.
The lack of Titus 2 women has created a lack of proverbs 31 women.
