When the path seems dark and drear
His way is perfect
When the future seems unclear
His way is perfect
In uncertainty I’ll not fear
For He’s promised to be near
When I cry out, He will hear
His way is perfect
When the doctor “must be wrong”
His way is perfect
And the illness doth prolong
His way is perfect
‘Tho for healing I may long
When I’m weak He makes me strong
In the night He gives a song
His way is perfect
When my faith’s put to the test
His way is perfect
Trials an unwelcome guest
His way is perfect
As the sparrow out of nest
He sees me and knows what’s best
Safe in Him I can find rest
His way is perfect
Mortgage payment’s drawing nigh
His way is perfect
Money’s low and bills are high
His way is perfect
Faith in God, I’ll not deny
On His promises rely
Every need He will supply
His way is perfect
When relationships are frail
His way is perfect
‘Tho my heart breaks in travail
His way is perfect
Looking back when “all was well”
Just remember love won’t fail
Wait on God and time will tell
His way is perfect
When my family feels death’s sting
His way is perfect
And to memories now I cling
His way is perfect
In the covert of His wings
Peace and comfort He will bring
In the valley I can sing
His way is perfect
Oh, at times it’s hard to say
His way is perfect
Hard to trust Him and obey
BUT
His way is perfect
Close beside Him I must stay
Hope in God ~ come what may
Soon ’twill be a better day
His way is perfect!
“As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.” Proverbs 18:30
