Top 3 Vaccinations Every Christian Should Get

by Chuck Circle

There’s recently been quite the stir in media and social outlets regarding vaccinations. With what seems to be the recent reappearance of children with Measles and Mumps, many are clamoring for tighter restrictions on those who are unvaccinated. The reality is that no parent is required to vaccinate their child and the debate will continue on whether the government should have the right to compel vaccination compliance.

With all the debate about protection from disease, let me suggest three vaccinations every Christian should have.

1. A UNHOLINESS vaccination – Ephesians 4:21-24 – Our lives should look different than those of the unbelieving. … If indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

2. AN INDECENCY vaccination – II Peter 1:5-8 – We should continually become more virtuous. Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

3. AN IMMATURITY vaccination – Romans 5:3-5 – We should be learning how to suffer amid trials. And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Our spiritual lives will be hindered and we may carelessly infect others if we don’t pay attention to living a pure and exemplary Christian life.
